ErgoSonic Applauds D’Addario and Company’s “Project Excelsior” mission to Turn Drumheads into Face Shields for Healthcare Workers during COVID-19 Pandemic
April 9, 2020
At this very challenging time for our state and our country, we are extremely proud to be associated with D’Addario and Company, the makers of Evans Drumheads. They are the original equipment manufacturer of drumheads for ErgoSonic Percussion LLC, also located in New York State, and they have supplied ErgoSonic with the highest quality heads while providing outstanding service.
D’Addario and Company plans to turn Evans G2 drumheads into protective face shields for healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic with the goal of producing 100,000 face shields per week. D’Addario named the effort “Project Excelsior” after the New York State Motto, meaning “Ever Upward.”
By moving to the production of protective face shields, which are in short supply and needed to insure the health and safety of our frontline healthcare providers, they demonstrate the kind of ingenuity, creativity and commitment which has made them such an outstanding company. More importantly, Project Excelsior demonstrates that D’Addario/Evans is not only a great American company, they are an organization comprised of truly remarkable human beings who demonstrate tremendous heart and willingness to help our state and our country during these very challenging times. ErgoSonic Percussion is very proud to be associated with such remarkable people, and D’Addario’s commitment to this project is simply another indicator of what great people can do when faced with a significant challenge. Thank you so very much, D’Addario and Company. Excelsior indeed! #WeWillPlayOn
